Tradition and Stability

GHSFCU has been proudly serving its membership since 1940.  Since the beginning, we have been committed to fulfilling our core mission of "people helping people". GHS is an excellent, hard-working example of the credit union movement's philosophy - not for profit, not for charity, but for service.

As a member, you become part owner of this credit union. We are a financial cooperative, democratically controlled by our members/owners and governed by a volunteer board of directors. Currently, GHS consists of three branches, an extensive No-Fee network of ATMs, more than 15,000 members, and more than $127 million in assets.

Our management team is very experienced and our staff is both knowledgeable and friendly.  We balance the needs of our members with conservative and responsible lending practices. This combined with efficient and clean accounting practices have proved to be a winning combination and is especially reassuring for staff and members during these current turbulent economic times.

Strength and Growth

There truly is strength in numbers and our numbers are getting stronger all the time. The reason is simple; there is no substitute for developing a personal relationship with your financial institution. The more we get to know you and understand your goals, the more we can be of service to you.  Because we do not profit from you, we are genuinely all on the same team.  Our member's success is our success and vice versa, and that translates directly into increased returns on savings and lower rates on loans.  This benefits everyone and makes for a more vital community.

Community

We are absolutely committed to serving the needs of our membership. To that end, we are continually updating the products and services we offer to be able to best meet those changing needs.  In addition, we work with many local groups and agencies to give back as much as we can in terms of donations of money and volunteerism.  We are proud of the contributions GHS and our members make to help assure our community stays strong and continues to be a great place to enjoy life both now and in the future.
