Sign-In FAQ
Q. What should I do if I have difficulty registering for
the online banking security features?
A. GHS has set up a hot-line telephone number; it's
607-723-7962 or toll-free 800-732-4447 ext. 1811. Please call and a
representative will help you through the process.
Q. Do I need a new computer or software to use the GHS
sign-on for Internet Banking?
A. The sign-on does NOT require any changes
to your computer.
Q. Why do I need to answer five questions?
A. Each time you sign-on, you will be asked
one of the questions. It's an additional way to confirm the
identity of the person signing on .
Q. What does the security word, or "text" word you asked me
to enter do?
A. This word or "text" will be displayed each
time you sign-on. Always make sure the "text" displayed is exactly
what you had entered when you registered. This will help assure you
that you are at the GHS site.
Q. Should I register my computer as it
requests?
A. This is your choice. You may register the
computer you're using to sign-on, or you may select "public
computer, do not register". By registering, you help GHS recognize
your computer as the active source for using the
program.
Q. Do I have to register every computer I
use?
A. We recommend you register the computer (s)
you most often sign-on to Internet Banking with. Should you
randomly go on-line from an off-site location, it is not necessary
to register that computer.
